Re-membering our intimate relationship to Earth through research, dialogue - and dance

Humans & Soil is a living platform where dance, research, and embodied knowledge come together to restore and reimagine our ancestral relationships with the Earth. It moves away from colonial frameworks and towards ways of sensing and knowing that are rooted in care, memory, and reciprocity. The project began in 2017 through an exchange with Indigenous communities in Asia and Sápmi, and has since grown through relationships — with bodies, lands, and traditions — across many geographies. Guided by movement and collective listening, Humans & Soil continues to evolve as a space for deep connection, creation, and remembrance.
